London-based designer Christopher Raeburn is a pioneer in sustainable fashion and cool streetwear, reworking surplus fabrics to create distinctive and utilitarian pieces. For his first collaboration with Palladium Boots, he casts his remade, reduced and recycled ethos within our military-inspired heritage and footwear knowledge to design boots that blend fashion and function. In this unisex’s style, organic cotton and leather are melded together in a futuristic boot that is sleek and comfortable. A wide velcro panel folds over the zippered front to secure the top of the shoe for a snug fit. The coral lining adds a subtle pop of color. The printed organic cotton has a soft, smudged pattern that resembles clouds on a rainy day, while the smooth leather, made with recycled rainwater, gives a sort of urbane polish. The shoes provide a fashionable foundation for easy spring looks, whether they’re skinny jeans, wide-legged pants, cutoff shorts, floaty dresses or athletic wear. It’s a stylish choice for a conscientious and adventurous woman who cares about the environmental footprint she leaves on the world.
