Ciergerie des Prémontrés, formerly called the Abbey candle factory, was founded by the White Fathers in 1858 Provence. Today the Tarascon workshop is run by four master candle makers who practice the technique of candle making known as "à la louche", a delicate method dating back to early Renaissance, which results in long, thin candles of an equal diameter that do not drip or give off black smoke.
Thanks to the traditional way they are made, these candles have an exceptional wax density (3 to 5 times longer life than industrial candles) with an intense and lively light.
We love the exquisite fluro shade, which is achieved by throwing colour pigments in a fine rain into molten wax and swirling repeatedly.
Each bundle contains 25 candles.
