The CW&T Pen Type-B exemplifies the notion that achieving simplicity isn’t as simple as it seems. Though a minimal, clean, two-piece design consisting of a sleeve and a pen, both expertly machined in the USA from grade 5 titanium, Type-B succeeds because of its precision craftsmanship and hidden details. First, the cylindrical sleeve features a flat side preventing it from rolling away: clever. Next, inside the sleeve is an N52 neodymium magnet to secure the pen body, as well as a rubber tip protector: smart. The cylindrical pen body has a stepped tip for visibility and a hidden logo on the back of the screw that holds in the ink cartridge.

The inner diameter of the sleeve and the outer diameter of the pen body are machined so exactly, that they create a piston-like effect, with the pen making a “pop” when removed from the sleeve. The Pen Type-B includes a includes a .3mm cartridge. Refills are available here.
